A boat built for real distances needs a galley built for real cooking. The VMG 53’s U-shaped galley is exactly that a proper kitchen at sea, where everything falls to hand and the cook stays braced and secure whatever the angle of heel.

Built around the cook
The U-shape wraps the cook in a single, secure working position, with a dedicated work area to starboard and expansive storage within easy reach. A Kohler modular sink with an integrated prep station handles the everyday, fed by pressurised hot and cold fresh water through Quadro Italy taps. It is a galley laid out for passages, not posing — comfortable to work in at anchor, and safe to work offshore.

Furniture, not appliances
What sets this galley apart is what you don’t see. The built-in 150-litre drawer fridge-freezer is veneer-faced rather than stainless, so it reads as cabinetry and disappears into CCA’s interior; the waste bin is concealed through the countertop and joinery; and towel storage is integrated out of sight. A multifunction Miele induction cooktop brings real cooking capability without breaking the calm of the space, and custom CCA x VMG latches finish every door and drawer.

Provisioned for the long way
Cold storage is taken seriously: the 150-litre drawer fridge-freezer is joined by a 43-litre top-loader, giving both capacity and flexibility for extended passages. Expansive dry-goods and bottle storage is set into the floor — keeping that weight low and central where it benefits the boat — and storage compartments throughout, each secured with custom latches, keep everything in its place.

Open to the heart of the boat
A pass-through hatch connects the galley directly to the sail pit, so food and drinks move straight to the command cockpit without anyone leaving the conversation. Cooking stays part of the social life of the boat rather than shut away from it.
